Radiation Physics and Engineering

Documents covering development and enhancement of radiation physics and radiation engineering researches are welcome. For more details about aims and scope of RPE, please see http://rpe.kntu.ac.ir/journal/aim_scope

RPE publishes following type of articles: Research articles, Review articles.

To prepare your manuscript ready for submission to RPE, please follow the guidelines presented in “Manuscript Preparation” section on http://rpe.kntu.ac.ir/page_385.html.

Currently, we don’t have impose strict limits on words counts or page numbers of the submitted manuscripts.

To submit your article. Click “submit manuscript” on the journal’s homepage and directly access the submission system of RPE. You should login to the site, or register first if you have not an account.

Find the article in the journal site. Different format of citation (for example; APA, HARVARD, BibTex,…) can be found in “How to site” section.

Copyright forms shall be submitted by corresponding author after acceptance of the manuscript.

RPE is an open-access journal without article processing or submission charges. The access to the published articles is free of charges.

Authors have the right to share the PDF offprint of their article(s) to their research colleagues and research organizations.

RPE issues are published quarterly, 4 issues per year.

After the manuscript is accepted, the page proofs will send for authors approximately 7 days after finishing the publication process (Please see the peer reviewing process diagram available at http://rpe.kntu.ac.ir/journal/process ). At this time, the authors will have opportunity to submit their corrections to the journal.

Owing that as soon as an article is published online, it can be cited and is quotable, making changes can easily arise confusion. RPE therefore has not the policy to make replace a published paper with an updated one. After online publication, further changes can only be made in form of an Erratum. For more information, please contact the Editorial Office through rpe@kntu.ac.ir.

Once a manuscript is submitted, the Associate Editor checks the compatibility with the purposes and the approaches of the journal. After confirmation, two or more independent referees are chosen and are invited to evaluate the manuscript.  RPE uses the single blind peer review process. The review process generally takes an average of 6-7 weeks.

The reviewer’s comments are accessible through the journal’s online system. The corresponding author can log in to the system and access the comments in his/her personal page. An information email will be sent to alert this step.

Change of authorship or in the order of authors are not taken into account after acceptance of the manuscript. Any request for changes in the authorship needs to be made before acceptance of the manuscript. For such a change, send a written request.

Currently, RPE published articles are fully indexed with Google Scholar search engine, and is indexed with scientific databases. See details at http://rpe.kntu.ac.ir/journal/indexing.
